Competition 4: Theme - "Local Attractions"

The Fourth and final Round of our 2020/21 Competition is now open.  The deadline is 27th February 2021.  The theme is “Local Attractions.”

Like Rounds 1 -3, this Round will be run through Zoom Video Conferencing.  Consequently we are limited to DPI entries only.

This guideline has been composed by Susi Luard to assist members in preparing to make and select images for submission:

We hope to see attractive photos taken at any time of day (early morning, sunny afternoons with blue sky and white clouds, at sunset or night time) or with arty interpretations to convey mood and emotion.  Why not use apps for alternative creative interpretation.  The idea is to avoid straight holiday snaps.  Make the images attractive that we would want to visit the installation, structure, building, a particular location.  If it was a picture to convey your nostalgia of the place you may want to apply filters, layers, using lenses such as lens baby or fish eye lens or whatever photographic 'tools' and softwares you may have.  The interpretation is wide from stunning pictures worthy of travel magazines to nostalgic pictures.  Make your images as impactful as possible.

Submitting through PhotoEntry - Image Guidelines etc

To take part, upload your images through the PhotoEntry online submission system:  PhotoEntry - Login

You will need to enter your PhotoEntry User ID and Password.  These will have been sent to you in an email from John Murray, our Webmaster.  If you have not received this email, please contact John at  webmaster@cityandcripplegate-ps.org

All entries must conform to the rules about size and colour representation set out here:

Internal Competition Rules and Guidelines 2020-21 Season Revised August 3rd 2020

Please note that the previous rules on naming image files no longer apply.  The only "rule" is not to identify yourself in in the image title.
